ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Morgan.

WHERE I COME FROM

I grew up in a very small town in Massachusetts. The education system in our town was beginning to fail me and I was fortunate enough that my parents could afford to send me to private school. Now as a parent myself, I realize how great of a sacrifice that was, and that not every family has that luxury for their child. I graduated from Bishop Feehan High School and attended Emmanuel College in Boston. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Communication.

I moved to Dallas in 2017, and met my now husband and two wonderful bonus children at the end of that year. This past year we welcomed another boy to our team, and we are so excited to watch him grow.
We are a blended, military family. I care deeply about the education and experiences my children, and yours, are getting.

A THRIVING CAREER

My career has been all over the map, and I would not have it any other way. I have been blessed to learn from so many different fields, and I would not have that gift without the formative foundation and passion to learn that was laid for me as a child.

My high school did not have many opportunities to learn about various career fields, so I took full advantage of that during college. I interned for the local police department while I studied Criminal Justice. Upon switching my course of study, I began working at Fenway Park in the season ticket holders club. When the Red Sox season ended, I worked for Aramark as a catering sales lead. After graduation I took my experience to my career with BJ's Wholesale Club in their Community Affairs Department. I loved that position, but had found a passion for management and wellness and became the manager for the first Orangetheory Fitness in Massachusetts as they grew their franchises.

At the age of 26, I packed up my entire life and moved to Dallas to become a leasing agent for Billingsley Company until I moved to San Antonio, and then New Braunfels where I am the Early Childhood and Adult Ministry Coordinator at Journey Fellowship. I plan our Early Childhood curriculum and teach our classes on Sunday. I work with other parents, families and our staff to determine what our children need.

My career was where I learned the most, but my education is where I was taught to LEARN. It was where I grew excited about the quality of the experiences I was getting and to always take a leap of faith, even into the unknown! The teachers and professionals I interacted with inspired me to always strive to ask questions, have confidence, and set goals. Those educators had the support they needed to be there for us as students. They inspired me to ask questions, dig deeper and most importantly engage in conversations. Are we doing the same for our teachers and paraprofessionals today? In an ever changing world and a time when the field of education is in grave danger of losing our best educators, are we encouraging and supporting them the way they have us?
